Here at The Lowry we pride ourselves on being family friendly throughout the building.

From our free family trails, tours and Jack’s Activity Packs, through to The Galleries’ Family Corner, The Lowry is a great place to visit. And now we’re going one better for our family visitors this summer with a Family Festival taking over the Theatres, Galleries and Foyer areas on the first weekend in July, as well as our big Family Exhibition, So You Want to be an Artist?  (Sat 26 July - Sun 2 November).

Sat 5 July sees our Family Festival really enter full swing with a fun-filled day jam-packed with FREE activities. There’s a wonderful range of things to see and do including strolling foyer performances, singing, dancing, art and storytelling, plus lots of opportunities to try things out!

We will also be launching a new event – Music Baby! – an under 5s disco party for babies and their families. This fun-packed event includes snacks and games, as well as opportunities to learn and play, and to top it off we will be featuring a legendary Manchester DJ to be announced!! You can catch many of these FREE events and activities as you wander around the building, however some events do have to be booked in advance.
