Why we need your support.
The Lowry is a world class visual and performing arts venue which attracts the finest regional, national and international work. With an eclectic mix of dance, opera, comedy, music, ballet and drama in our theatres and an outstanding exhibitions programme in our Galleries, The Lowry now occupies a prominent position in the cultural life of the region.
As a registered charity, which receives only 16% public subsidy, we work very hard to generate our own income. For every £1 of public funding received, The Lowry must raise £6 in order to sustain this magnificent building and our programme of activities.
However, we want to do more than just survive, we want to thrive and realise our ambitious plans to make The Lowry a world leader in visual and performing arts.
In order to do this we need the support of generous individuals, companies and trusts and foundations who in return can benefit from a long and fulfilling relationship with one of the UK’s premier arts venues.
