Arms and the Cow
Sat 13 May
This event has passed.
Kurt Weill
New production.
When an American arms dealer arrives on a peaceful Caribbean island and tries to start a war, it spells trouble for two young lovers and their cow. Sensationally entertaining - a 1930s operetta with a sumptuously spicy score that takes in waltzes, can-cans, gorgeous ballads and Gilbert and Sullivan-style patter songs - this is set to be the must-see event of the season.
“This is one of Weill’s greatest achievements, overflowing with unforgettable tunes… a magical production, filled with belly laughs and raucous, raunchy good fun…Don’t miss it!” Opera News
