Brief Encounter

Tue 24 June - Sat 28 June

This event has passed.
Based on the classic David Lean film version - which starred Celia Johnson and Trevor Howard - this atmospheric and moving new stage adaptation stars Brookside’s Susanna Farnham (Karen Drury) and Richard Walsh, London’s Burning’s Albert ‘Sicknote’ Quigley.

At a chance meeting at Milford Junction Station, Alec kindly removes a piece of grit from the respectable housewife, Laura’s eye and so begins a bitter sweet, six-week love affair.

Crossroads’ Lynette McMorrough and Carrot’s Lib’s Nick Wilton play the tea lady and Albert the railway guard.

Set in the winter of 1938 and using beautiful period detail, this is a nostalgic romance you won’t want to miss.
