Three decades ago Cuban band Irakere burst on the scene with a revolutionary sound quite unlike anything heard before. They took the world by storm but they haven’t rested on their laurels and now Irakere represents the cutting edge of contemporary Cuban music and the wondrous possibilities of mixing musical styles.
