The annual season of exciting new plays for young actors returns. Thousands of young people across the country work both on stage and behind the scenes to create productions of brand new plays specifically commissioned for them by the National Theatre.
This year, all twelve plays have a recurring theme familiar to all young people: the forging of first friendships. At the heart of each play beats the human dilemma faced when trying to make a new connection with another person.
