NEW PRODUCTION
Gershwin’s Pulitzer Prize-winning satire of the US political process is a musical delight.
Presidential candidate, John P. Wintergreen’s chances of winning look slim until his advisors come up with idea of campaigning on the thing everyone wants – love.
They stage a beauty pageant where first prize is the president’s hand in marriage. French belle Diana Devereaux wins, but when the President falls for Mary, a muffin-making secretary, the would-be First Lady turns her rejection into an international scandal. Wintergreen needs a new idea to save the day, and maybe Mary can produce the answer…
Conductor – Mark Dorrell
Director – Caroline Gawn Sung in English.

Signed Performance interpreted by Mary Connell
