Pomp and Circumstances
A wonderful opportunity to see three very different ballets: beautiful pure dance, an Edwardian period piece and a perennially popular showstopper.
Serenade is a beautiful abstract dance created by Balanchine together with the glorious music of Tchaikovsky.
Enigma Variations shows Edward Elgar and his friends brought to life.
‘Still Life' at the Penguin Café gives you the chance, through David Bintley's witty choreography, to meet a many and varied, amusing and touching array of creatures seeking shelter from the storm.
Sylvia
When marital strife between Count Guccioli and his wife threatens to disrupt their anniversary celebration, and the Count's infidelities endanger the fledgling union between their servants Sylvia and Amyntas, it is left to Eros the God of Love to reconcile them. He takes them back in time to mythical Rome for a humorous trip to learn some valuable lessons in love. David Bintley brings his unrivalled comic talent to this new version of a classic ballet featuring a beautiful score by Leo Délibes and a colourful cast of Gods and Goddesses, slave girls and pirates in this eagerly anticipated revival.
