Join us for an evening of exciting dynamism and soulful music from India with a brilliant young British Asian musician. For the first time ever Milapfest presents Soumik Datta, a rising star of Indian classical music, in his debut *sarod solo concert at The Lowry. Soumik will be accompanied on the *tabla by Hiren Chate. Sur is a signature annual event showcasing the rising stars of British Asian music.
*Sarod – a lute-like instrument.
*Tabla – percussion instrument
