Mandolin virtuoso U Shrinivas has revived and raised this relatively unknown instrument and given it a respectable status in classical music.
He performs regularly with Zakir Hussein and other brilliant percussionists in the highly acclaimed World Music ensemble Shakti. He has performed in festivals and concerts all over the world, and returns to the North West for this very special concert.
