Live performance - Akram Khan: One Side to the Other
Performer as Curator
Sat 20 December - Sat 31 January
Dancer and Choreographer Akram Khan curates the second in our major series of visual arts exhibitions, bringing together sculpture, photography, painting and film, by artists such as Antony Gormley and Anish Kapoor. The exhibition explores Khan’s fascination with the traditional and the contemporary, the spiritual and the grounded, doubt and certainty, light and dark …
A truly unique event, the exhibition will present on selected days a series of exclusive performances, where small groups of visitors are led by dancers on an intimate journey around the works of art.
These performances are free but numbers are limited and demand is expected to be high. Tickets must be pre-booked through The Lowry Box Office.
Please note access to the exhibition will be limited on performance days.
Performances are at 10.30 am, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm and 3.30pm.
The show will go on!
Should we see adverse weather on the day of any performance at The Lowry, the show will continue as normal. Due to the nature of our agreements with the producers who bring their shows to The Lowry, we are not able to offer any refunds or ticket exchanges outside of our normal policy (see standard terms and conditions with link) due to adverse weather. Galleries opening times may vary, but please check www.thelowry.com/plan-your-visit for the most up-to-date information.
