Art & Design Primary School Workshop: LS Lowry Landscapes

Explore a selection of Lowry’s many landscapes, both industrial and rural. Learn about Lowry’s life and the context of some of the paintings. Study the composition, atmosphere and mood of the landscapes, thinking about Lowry’s use of image and colour.

Work with our artists to develop drawing and mark making techniques, ideas about perspective and colour mixing. Create your own artwork linked to themes explored in the gallery.

Key Stages 1- 2

For up to 35 pupils
10am-12pm, 1–3pm, 4pm - 6pm or weekends.
Full day workshops are also available, 10am - 3pm.
Cost £100 (£80 for Salford schools).
