For more than 40 years, Martin Carthy has been one of folk's greatest innovators, influencing an entire generation of artists on both sides of the Atlantic.

Appointed an MBE in 1998, he was named Folk Singer of the Year at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2002, and then again in 2005.

Waiting for Angels is the much-anticipated latest solo album from this truly groundbreaking balladeer and guitarist.
