Suzanne Vega

Pioneering American, singer/songwriter, Suzanne Vega has announced UK tour dates. Songs such as Marlene on the Wall, Luka and the hugely successful album Solitude Standing have brought her gentle yet powerfully political acoustic pop to a global audience. In 1990, her career received an extra boost when UK-based rap duo DNA released a remix of a cappella song Tom's Diner, which charted world-wide.

She has inspired a whole new generation of musicians - Beth Orton and Alanis Morrisette spring to mind - and tonight is another chance to hear those beautiful songs and Suzanne's hauntingly fragile vocals. 2010 sees the release of her all new acoustic studio recordings, Suzanne Vega, Close-Up Vol.1, Love Songs. Vega reinterprets her best-loved songs in imaginative and intimate renderings. The first of 4 CDs in Suzanne’s Close-Up Series includes: Marlene on the Wall, Caramel, Gypsy and Small Blue Thing.
