The Boy Who Kicked Pigs

Thirteen-year-old Robert Caligari has a rather nasty habit of kicking pigs. But today, Robert is going to get his comeuppance. Today is the day that Robert Caligari is going to die.

Tom Baker, the legendary former Dr Who himself, has granted exclusive rights to theatre company Kill the Beast to adapt his cult novel for a world première performance as part of The Lowry’s ‘Developed With’ programme. This grotesquely comic farce features talking piggy-banks, shark mutilation, and a nasty incident with weedkiller cornflakes.

Kill the Beast are an exciting young theatre company with a passion for dark comedy, pork-based narratives and violence against fictional animals.
