The Quays

The Quays is a joint tourism initiative between Salford City Council and Trafford Borough Council supported by private sector partners The Lowry, Imperial War Museum North, Lancashire County Cricket Club, the Lowry Outlet Mall, Ramada Manchester Salford Quays, Mersey Ferries, Ordsall Hall, MediaCityUK and working in partnership with Marketing Manchester.

The Quays is Greater Manchester's unique waterfront destination, situated just 15 minutes by tram from Manchester city centre and an ideal destination for a day out or weekend break. The Quays’ regenerated dockland site surrounds one of the UK’s largest inland waterways, where the best of 21st Century architecture and a combination of attractions make it one Britain’s landmark tourist destinations.

At The Quays there is a wealth of world-class entertainment, leisure and cultural facilities on offer. Whether you’re a culture vulture, theatre lover, film goer or visitor simply wanting a great day out, The Quays offer a fantastic choice of things to do and see. You can even try your hand at rowing, sailing, canoeing or windsurfing at Salford Watersports Centre. If you plan on making a weekend of it, there are great hotels such as the Ramada and Old Trafford Lodge to choose from.
