12) The Lowry has the largest theatres volunteers scheme in the country with over 300 volunteers. You too can be a VIP (Volunteers Involvement Programme) and help out at The Lowry, enjoying a range of benefits in return.

13) More than 12,000 coarse fish have been released into the harbour basins of Salford docks to attract anglers to what used to be rat-infested waterways.
