Peter Pan by J M Barrie With Paul Nicholas as Captain Hook, Justin Moorhouse as Smee and all-star cast to be announced Pele Productions in association with The Lowry present this magical trip to Neverland, an unforgettable family Christmas treat. Our brand new pop pantomime version of Barrie’s timeless tale of the boy who never grew up will enthral young and old alike.
With swashbuckling sword fights, stunning scenery, an explosive pop soundtrack, sensational choreography and breathtaking acrobatics, this is the north west’s must-see seasonal spectacular, staged by the team behind last year’s sell-out Aladdin.
Leading the all-star cast, is Paul Nicholas, as the wickedest Captain Hook of them all. Paul became a household favourite in his role as Vince in BAFTA award-winning BBC TV’s Just Good Friends but his stage career goes back to the original London and Manchester productions of Hair.
Paul is very much a favourite in the north west, following appearances in many musicals, notably in Pirates Of Penzance and Fiddler on The Roof.

Fiery Angel and The Lowry by arrangement with Adam Kenwright proudly presents the Olivier Award winning production Taboo – The Boy George Musical
Music and lyrics by Boy George Book by Mark Davies This Christmas, Taboo, The Boy George Musical makes its North West debut at The Lowry prior to an extensive UK tour.
Following rave reviews from his performance in the West End production, Stephen Ashfield will play the role of Boy George at The Lowry, and further cast to be announced. This vibrant new musical is directed by West End and Broadway award-winner Christopher Renshaw.
Set in the Eighties, Taboo tells the story of the times when shoulder pads packed the power punch, Thatcher was in Downing Street and only yuppies had mobiles. British music was undergoing a metamorphosis, as styles, cultures and technologies converged, giving birth to the New Romantics, squeaky pop – and punk. Taboo is about young people finding love, living life, discovering identity and being famous, even notorious. Boy George, Leigh Bowery, Steve Strange, Marilyn and Philip Sallon guide you through one of the most flamboyant and extravagant musicals ever staged in the UK.
With classic hits such as Do You Really Want to Hurt Me? and Karma Chameleon, Taboo the musical also features 20 brand new songs. Described by the Daily Telegraph as the best musical of the year, Taboo received standing ovations at every single performance during its London run. Taboo provides the perfect alternative festive treat this Christmas.
