Kate Rusby
Band One of the scene's best-loved and most revered artists, the youthful Yorkshire queen of English folk takes the music into startling new territories. Kate appears with her own band, featuring her fiddle player-producer - and husband - John McCusker, voted Musician Of The Year in the Radio 2 2003 Folk Awards.

Cara Dillon
The multi award-winning Irish folk singer, in concert with her musical - and off-stage - partner Sam Lakeman in a six piece band. Bernard Wrigley and the Oldham Tinkers
The Bolton Bullfrog, recently seen on Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights, and the almost-legendary Oldham Tinkers, together at The Lowry for the first time for the mother and father of all Lancashire nights. From these best-loved north west musicians, you’re likely to learn about Granny Cooney’s famous rice puddings, why people in Blackburn roll their r’s – and many other, fairly, truthful tales.

Incredible String Band 2003
Stringfandom worldwide brought these Sixties legends back together again and they’ve proved so successful they’re now a full-time touring band. Their latest show - with a part-new line-up - is based around their first five classic albums, the highlight being Mike Heron’s 13-minute epic, A Very Cellular Song. Their last two gigs at The Lowry were sell-outs.

Eric Bogle
A Scot now domiciled in Australia, this internationally-renowned singer-songwriter is probably still best-known for his award-winning, And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda. Perceptive and compassionate, with a wry sense of humour, Eric is an engaging concert performer, accompanied on this UK tour by guitarist and fellow Scot-in-Australia, John Munro.

Paul Carrack
The voice behind such hits as Ace’s How Long, Squeeze’s Tempted and Mike And The Mechanics’ timeless classic, The Living Years, Carrack has built up a huge following from successful solo albums and tours. The Tiger Lillies

Puressence
Full Band – Raw and Unplugged Soul-baring, panoramic rock allied to haunting melody and enormous conviction – the lads from Failsworth have got it all. Developing their style for more than a decade now, the voice of lead singer James Mudriczki still has to be heard to be believed, haunting and emotional and with a Manchester accent.

Oysterband
