The Lowry Finds A New Mascot in Molly The Mongrel

After a nationwide search, The Lowry proudly announces that Molly has been selected as the best look-a-like of dogs painted by L S Lowry.

Proud owner Stephen Hepworth says that he found Molly as a young abandoned pup in a dog home when she was just six months old. It was Molly who chose Stephen, as she sat up and begged when he passed her kennel. Although she was very sick and thin at the time, Molly's interest in Stephen paid off and they have been the best of companions ever since.

Now a healthy five year old, Molly is never happier than walking the streets of Salford or chasing her ball.

Molly held a press conference at The Lowry to launch her new status as our official mascot and posed calmly for the cameras. This taste of stardom has led to speculation that she may well be auditioning for the coveted role of Toto in The Lowry's Christmas show, The Wizard of Oz.

Sources close to Molly say of the rumour, "Woof!"
