Rufus Wainwright
Thu 14 April
The son of singer/songwriter Loudon Wainwright III, this time around Rufus will be performing alongside his mother and aunt, the acclaimed folk singers Kate and Anna McGarrigle. His debut album was released in 1998 and helped make him Rolling Stone’s New Artist Of The Year. His critically acclaimed third studio album, Want One was re-released last year.

Eddi Reader
Wed 27 April
The voice of the hugely successful Fairground Attraction and nominated folk singer of the year in the 2005 Radio 2 Folk Awards. She will perform songs from all her previous work plus new ones to be included on an album due out this year. She appears on stage with Boo Hewerdine, John McCusker, Alan Kelly, Ewen Vernal and Ian Carr.

Sing-a-long-a-Elvis

His maverick career – credits include acting roles in M*A*S*H and Soldier Soldier – spans three decades of unforgettable musical madness, mayhem and god-like genius. One of music’s eternal survivors, he is revered for his humour and dignity.

Laurie Anderson
The End of the Moon

America’s great multi-mediatrix arrives with her highly acclaimed new work, The End of the Moon. The second in a series of intimate solo performances, The End of the Moon combines stories and music in a low-tech setting to create an ambitiously large picture of contemporary American culture. As NASA’s first artist-in-residence, Anderson draws on her recent research and travels. Part travelogue, part personal theories, history and dreams, The End of the Moon looks at the relationships between war, aesthetics, spirituality and consumerism. Anecdotal, wide ranging and epic, it features her new music for violin and electronics. A very rare chance to see a true original.

John Martyn

Barb Jungr - Love Me Tender

Terry Lightfoot
The Terry Lightfoot Jubilee Tour

Terry and his band present a brilliant tribute to the life of Louis Armstrong. It includes not only the great songs of the later stages of Louis’ career, such as Hello Dolly, Mame and Wonderful World, plus Louis’ hits from High Society, but also the great hot jazz instrumentals from the earlier days with The Hot Five and King Oliver. Enjoy this celebration of Terry’s 50th anniversary as a bandleader.

Sing-a-long-a Sound Of Music

Robert Cray

Ustad Shahid Parvez
