THE LOWRY CELEBRATES RECORD NUMBERS OF TICKET SALES FOR THE AUTUMN/WINTER THEATRE SEASON
The Lowry is celebrating record box office sales for the September-December theatre season. More than 37,000 tickets have been sold in July and August, a 52 per cent increase in ticket sales compared to the same period last year.
Shows topping the sales at The Lowry in the September-December season include Alan Bennett’s The History Boys (1-5 November) direct from the National Theatre, Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake (17-22 October), the audacious show that took the West End and Broadway by storm, and The Lowry’s Christmas pantomime Cinderella starring Faith Brown and Lucy-Jo Hudson.
The Lowry’s Marketing Director, Alan MacGregor, commented:
“Our programming team has done a terrific job in putting together such a varied and exciting range of shows.
“We are thrilled at the customer response to the line-up to date and look forward to potentially our most successful season since opening in April 2000.”
