Janice Connolly AKA Mrs Barbara Nice and Holy Mary in Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights has joined the cast of The Lowry’s Christmas family spectacular Cinderella. Janice joins comedian Faith Brown as the Wicked Stepmother and Coronation Street’s Katy Harris, Lucy-Jo Hudson as Cinderella.
“Having already worked with Pele Productions and The Lowry on Robin Hood a couple of years ago I was thrilled when I bumped into David Fry, Head of Theatres Programming, last Christmas at The Manchester Evening News Theatre Awards and he asked me was I interested in Cinderella?” said Janice Connolly.
“I was really flattered and said yes straight away. It turns out though that Lucy-Jo Hudson’s playing her and I’m the Fairy Godmother!”
This brand new pop musical version of the traditional tale Cinderella is presented by The Lowry in association with Pele Productions, following the phenomenal sell-out success of their previous Christmas shows, from 9 December 2005 until Sun 8 January 2006.
