Shobna Gulati (Coronation Street, Dinnerladies) and Shana Swash (EastEnders) star in the sensational musical comedy Girls Night, a touching and brilliantly funny tell-it-like-it-is look at the lives of a group of female friends. Girls Night promises to have audiences laughing, crying and dancing in the aisles when it arrives at The Lowry, Salford Quays between Mon 2 Sat 7 April.
From the pen of Where the Heart Is writer, Louise Roche, this production follows five friends as they re-live their past on a hilarious karaoke night out and youll recognise every one of them! Carol was born to party, Anita says it like it is, Liza has issues and Kate is boring but very handy for driving!
Shobna Gulati is best known for having one of the stormiest love lives in Weatherfield as her character Sunita in Coronation Street. She is also well loved for her portrayal of ditsy Anita, one of the well-loved Dinnerladies from the hugely successful BBC comedy. She stars alongside Shana Swash whos recently been on our screens playing feisty teenage mum Demi Miller in EastEnders.
If youve ever sat down with your girlfriends to ponder the relative benefits of skimpy underwear, wondered why your current romance has changed from lust and longing to personalised socks and a kitchen bin for Christmas, or danced through a night of new shoe blisters at your favourite nightclub, then this show is for you!
Bursting with energy and packed with every girlie anthem you can think of including Dancing Queen, I Will Survive and Its Raining Men, Girls Night is an unmissable slice of sizzling entertainment for anyone who really knows how to have fun!
This national tour marks the latest chapter in Girls Nights meteoric rise from an idea in a Milton Keynes mums kitchen, through a community production, medium scale tour and smash-hit No 1 tour last year where the show took audiences and critics alike by storm! The show is now being adapted for a nationwide tour of America in 2007.
