Family at The Lowry
September – December 2007
The focus is on families at The Lowry this autumn with a string of favourites that will delight audience members of all ages. The classic stories of Tintin and The Snowman will light up the stage along with TV hit The Tweenies Live! The Enchanted Toyshop. With more boom boom than any other children’s character, Basil Brush is set to entertain as are the other one night specials. These include the dazzling puppetry and video animation of Beneath the Waves and Dr Bunhead’s explosive experiments. In addition to family theatre shows, we also have lots of family activities at The Lowry.

Family Activities
In addition to family theatre shows we have loads of family activities at The Lowry. Some, like Playhouse on Saturdays, take place regularly, whilst others are linked to shows or exhibitions. Our activities are designed for the whole family, so children must be accompanied by an adult.
Unless otherwise stated, family activity is most suitable for ages 5-11. Our family activity continues to be very popular, so booking is advised for all non drop-in events.

Saturday Playhouse – Make Your Own Art
Creative workshops using a variety of art and craft techniques to encourage budding young artists to develop new skills and stretch their imagination! There is a different activity each week, so come back as often as you like.

Join us for a day of drawing with a difference! During September young people in Salford worked with artists Spacecadets to create amazing structures and sculptures. See their exhibition, then explore and draw inside and outside incredible paper pods designed especially for The Big Draw.
