ASIAN ENTERTAINMENT AT THE LOWRY
September – December 2008
This autumn at The Lowry sees a wide range of music and dance events from South Asia beginning with the North West’s own Indian classical dance ensemble’s production of Devi. Sacred Thread uses classical Indian dance and music, while Diwali Dhamaka adds a twist to the classic Indian festival of lights. There are also dramatic theatrical productions from Party and Howzzat!

Devi
This stunning new production is performed by six of the region’s best dancers and explores the nine moods of Devi, the ultimate female Hindu goddess.

Diwali Dhamaka
After sell-out shows in 2006 and 2007, this dance-filled Festival of Lights promises to be a vibrant celebration for all communities of the North West.
