September – December 2008

Highlights for dance fans include the North West debut of the world-renowned Australian Ballet with their production of Swan Lake. Rambert return to their partner theatre with a powerful new programme including the world première of Eternal Light by Artistic Director Mark Baldwin. Hotly tipped as dance’s next big thing, Hofesh Shechter presents work which is both political and deeply personal. After wowing audiences the first time round, Matthew Bourne returns with his gothic fairytale production of Edward Scissorhands.

Devi
This stunning new production is performed by six of the region’s best dancers and explores the nine moods of Devi, the ultimate female Hindu goddess.

With the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. The world-renowned Australian Ballet makes its debut at The Lowry with choreographer Graeme Murphy’s intensely human Swan Lake.
