FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT AT THE LOWRY
September – December 2008
The Lowry has plenty to offer families this autumn, especially with our first family hands-on exhibition, So You Want to be an Artist?, providing the opportunity for youngsters to create their own art work in the Galleries. The National Theatre of Scotland return for Hallowe’en with their scary adventure, Something wicked this way comes. Christmas brings a box of delights with the family favourite musical, The Wizard of Oz and heartwarming seasonal story, The Night Before Christmas.

So You Want to be an Artist?
This hands-on family exhibition shows how Lowry developed his style, and offers visitors the chance to create a masterpiece of their own. Pencils kindly donated by The Cumberland Pencil Company (Derwent).

Catherine Wheels and The National Theatre of Scotland Something Wicked This Way
Comes Written and adapted by Ray Bradbury. When Cooger and Dark’s Pandemonium Shadow Show rolls into town, Jim and Will soon discover the funfair’s terrifying characters have dark plans for their home. Suitable for ages 9+.
