Quaytickets, appointed by Manchester International Festival
The Lowry wins ticketing contract for Manchester International Festival
The Lowry’s ticket agency, Quaytickets has been appointed by Manchester International Festival (MIF) as the ticketing partner for next year’s event which takes place from 2 – 19 July 2009.
Cathy Gallagher, MIF’s Marketing Director commented on their decision for appointing Quaytickets, “We were looking for a partner, who could provide a fully integrated box office service which included comprehensive reporting and analysis. Quaytickets successfully fulfilled all our criteria as well as offering competitive booking fees, an easy to navigate site and a professional personal ticketing service to our customers. We really liked Quayticket’s seat selector and basket function, which means that our customers can select their own seat and only pay one transaction fee regardless of how many different events they buy tickets for. This year there are no per ticket booking fees for any MIF event.”
Tickets are now on sale for the first three MIF commissions which are Rufus Wainwright’s debut opera, Prima Donna, a special event combining J S Bach with Zaha Hadid architects and Everybody loves a winner by acclaimed director Neil Bartlett. Quaytickets will also be selling tickets for the remainder of the Festival programme of twenty-plus commissions from leading artists which will be announced in March 2009.
To book tickets for the first three MIF events and many others, ranging from theatre, music and comedy to sport, nightlife, cabaret and circus, visit www.quaytickets.com. The Festival launched in 2007 as an artist-led, commissioning festival presenting new works from across the spectrum of performing arts, visual arts and popular culture.
