Christmas 2008 Press Nights
Step into Christmas at The Lowry in the most family friendly and festive way this year with The Wizard of Oz. This musical is faithful to the original film and stars Judy Garland’s daughter, Lorna Luft, as the Wicked Witch. The Quays Theatre will become home to a well-known French café for the stage adaptation of television’s ‘Allo ‘Allo. Written by the original TV writers, the play embodies everything familiar to its TV audience, from the fallen Madonna to “Good Moaning”! Then in the Studio a magical children’s show, The Night Before Christmas, guaranteed to warm the hearts of adults and children alike.

Back by popular demand, this magical family musical features singalong favourites such as We’re Off To See The Wizard, Follow The Yellow Brick Road, and Over The Rainbow.
Tue 16 December – ‘Allo ‘Allo – 7.30pm, Quays
By arrangement with Jeremy Lloyd & David Croft.
This new stage adaptation of the classic British TV comedy follows the adventures of René, a hapless café owner in war-torn occupied France.
Sat 27 December - Big Wooden Horse Theatre Company, The Night Before Christmas – 2.30pm, Studio
