Directed by Olivier Award winner Matthew Warchus, Boeing-Boeing has taken London’s West End and Broadway by storm. Audiences can expect to unbuckle their seatbelts and roll in the aisles when the first-class Tony Award winning comedy (Best Revival 2008) taxis into The Lowry from Mon 2 February.

Boeing-Boeing stars familiar faces from television, including local Leigh actress, Sarah Jayne Dunn, who played Mandy in Channel 4’s long running soap Hollyoaks for over ten years. Hotel Babylon actors, Martin and John Marquez, regulars on the comedy circuit as The Marquez Brothers, play long-lost cousins Bernard and Robert. Also starring is Susie Blake, probably best known for her appearances on The Victoria Wood Show and, more recently, as Beverley Unwin in Coronation Street. Her extensive theatre credits include Wicked and Noises Off in the West End. Bernard’s three high flying air hostess fiancées are made up by Josephine Butler and Thaila Zucchi. Josephine’s television credits include No Heroics and Sorted and THAILA’s credits include Skins, Balls, Star Stories and Balls of Steel.

Bernard (Martin Marquez), a successful architect living in Paris, thinks he can easily cope with his three air-hostess fiancées. It’s all a question of timetables and a reliable, long-suffering housekeeper (Susie Blake) who reluctantly plays the role of romantic air-traffic controller. But when his long lost cousin Robert arrives, things start to get turbulent! Schedules change, flights are delayed and a new turbo-charged Boeing aircraft is introduced: chaos ensures in this whirl of mayhem and matchmaking.
