Tickets for top comedians go on sale at The Lowry

Bill Bailey, The Lowry, Tue 9 – Sat 14 June 2009

Dave Gorman, The Lowry, Sun 13 September 2009

Tickets go on sale on Mon 23 February at The Lowry for two of the country’s top comedians. Bill Bailey will be performing on stage for what is bound to be a sell out week from Tue 9 – Sat 14 June and Dave Gorman returns to the stage, following a 5 year hiatus, for one night only on Sun 13 September.

Bill Bailey, stand-up comedian, musician and actor, is best known for his appearances on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Have I Got News for You, QI and Black Books. Instead of braving the elements performing at festivals this year, Bill has decided to move indoors to the warmth and relative intimacy of the theatre. Coinciding with the 150th anniversary of the publication of Darwin’s seminal work, ‘On the Origin of Species’, Bill continues to provide the masses with his comedic take on the world, showing us all that he really is one of a kind.

Dave Gorman: Sit Down, Pedal, Pedal, Stop And Stand Up is the comedian’s first stand-up gig in five years and will be a truly unique comedy tour. The intrepid comedian, best known for previous shows Are You Dave Gorman? and Googlewhack Adventure, will cover the extremes of the British mainland as he travels from the southernmost point to its northernmost tip, taking in the most easterly and westerly points along the way.
