One of Britain’s most distinguished directors, Peter Hall, returns to The Lowry from Tue 17 March with English Touring Theatres’s production of the comic masterpiece, Where There’s A Will.

Nicki Frei’s new translation of George Feydeau’s French farce marks the second collaboration between director Peter Hall and ETT, following their celebrated production of Uncle Vanya last year. Peter Hall is one of Britain’s most distinguished directors of plays, films and operas. His career includes being the founder of the Royal Shakespeare Company and Director of the Royal National Theatre. His many arts awards and nominations include two Tony Awards and an Olivier for Lifetime Achievement.

Angele is the wealthy widow of a philanderer who has learned from her first husband that no man can be trusted. Married for the second time, she vows to keep her new husband on a tight leash. Just when she has him where she wants him, things are complicated by the arrival of her husband’s close friend who is determined to pursue her for himself.
