The classic adventure of Peter Pan will be brought to life through a brilliant fusion of shadow puppetry and vibrant storytelling in this dynamic co-production between Visible Fictions and the Children’s Theatre Company, Minneapolis.
Peter; Captain Hook, played by Manchester-born Marc Perry; Wendy and the Lost Boys play out their adventures in an ever-changing and exhilarating Neverland.
Renowned Italian Shadow Artist and the designer of Peter Pan, Fabrizio Montecchi, has been busy teaching this enchanting discipline to the cast. Fabrizio Montecchi is a leading director and set designer in contemporary shadow theatre whose innovative work over the past 30 years with Teatro Gioco Vita of Northern Italy has been seen and enjoyed by audiences all over the world.
Award-winning Visible Fictions is renowned for creating exciting and engaging theatre. Peter Pan continues the Company’s reputation for producing entertaining work to astonish, enlighten and delight.
The family theme extends from The Lowry theatres into the galleries this summer with Express Yourself, The Lowry’s first family dance exhibition, showing until 27 September. From rock ‘n’ roll to Riverdance, Express Yourself offers visitors the chance to launch themselves feet first onto the dance floor, providing plenty of opportunities to get into the groove.
