New membership scheme at The Lowry
Benefits local community
A new membership scheme, the first of its kind, has been developed at The Lowry enabling companies to specifically support the venue’s Community & Education activity. This Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Commitment Scheme is a creative response to recessional fundraising, allowing children in the community to benefit from corporate support.
Membership provides an opportunity for companies to help their local community by allowing a primary or secondary school to enjoy free school workshops at The Lowry. Depending on the level of membership chosen, ranging from £500 to £6000 a year, the company can also receive benefits including tours around the building and discounted theatre tickets for their employees.
The Lowry is delighted to announce that engineering company Haden Freeman have become founder members of this brand new scheme, a unique opportunity for corporate money to be given to the arts. A pioneering and innovative scheme for an arts venue, The Lowry hopes that the CSR membership will benefit children in the community for generations to come.
Chantelle Culshaw, Development Manager at The Lowry said “We believe that we are the first arts venue in the country to initiate a scheme allowing companies to directly support their local community, giving the opportunity for hundreds of thousands of people to engage with The Lowry’s work.”
The Lowry Centre Trust is a not-for-profit charitable organisation and registered charity (no. 1053962). All income supports our world-class Theatres and Galleries programme, the care and display of the LS Lowry Collection and our life-changing Community and Education work.
