F**king Men

The Lowry, Thu 27 – Sat 29 Aug 2009
Press night: Thu 27 Aug, 8pm

London’s biggest fringe success of recent years, F**king Men, the free-wheeling comedy of sexual manners arrives at The Lowry.

Inspired by Schnitzler's La Ronde, this insightful drama looks at a succession of couples and strangers in America as they negotiate the before and after of lust, love and betrayal and the pursuit of gay sex. Some stories are poignant, some hilarious but collectively they provide a fascinating snap shot of the modern-day male.

Originally attracting audiences with its provocative title the show has gone on to win a whole new audience with its thoughtful, intelligent take on sexual politics and has received a raft of enthusiastic reviews.

The 90-minute production is staged by the multi-award winning director Phil Willmott, based on his original 2008 presentation at the Finborough Theatre and produced by The King's Head in association with The Steam Industry. Author Joe DiPietro also holds the record for Off-Broadway's longest running show, as lyricist for the musical “I Love you Your Perfect Now Change”.
