Following their recent success at The Almeida with Last Seen, Slung Low will debut their spine-tingling horror installation, They Only Come at Night: Resurrection, in association with The Lowry, from Wed 2 – Sat 12 September.

They Only Come at Night: Resurrection is a thrilling example of Slung Low’s distinctive performance style focusing on site specific installations and promenade productions, while constantly challenging the nature of the world around us. The company invite the audience to the VIP launch of graphic novelist Milo's most exciting work to date, a new novel based on imaginary events that took place one night. But rumours on the internet are suggesting that maybe those events weren't so imaginary after all and that perhaps Milo is in over his head, shining a light on a world that is best left in the shadows.

Slung Low are one of the most groundbreaking theatre companies in the UK, receiving critical acclaim recently for Last Seen, part of The Almeida Theatre’s Summer Festival. Last Seen was described by The Times as “ A startling heartbreaker”, with the New York Times adding, “ An immediacy that in any context is very special.” This August, Slung Low have been invited to take part in the trade fair of the British Council's Biennial Edinburgh Showcase during the Edinburgh International Festival.

Alan Lane, Slung Low’s Artistic Director said “This an exciting year for the company and we are delighted to be performing two brand new shows this autumn at The Lowry. Slung Low will return in October with Beyond the Front Line, an even larger scale, outdoor drama, in collaboration with The Lowry, Imperial War Museum North and The University of Salford.”

Robert Robson, The Lowry’s Artistic Director said, “Slung Low’s productions will be truly memorable, providing the audience with an experience they can’t stop talking about. In the run-up to The Lowry’s 10th birthday year, the unique projects of our No Boundaries season illustrate our role in presenting imaginative theatre.”
