Children’s Auditions for White Christmas – Saturday 5 September 2009
Young stars get chance at the big time
Three budding young actresses with stars in their eyes will get the opportunity to appear in the spectacular stage musical White Christmas at The Lowry this Christmas. The winners at a special audition will take turns to play the part of Susan and star alongside Aled Jones and Suzanne Shaw.
Talented wannabees aged between 8 – 11 years, need to be no more than 5ft tall, be able to sing loud, in tune and with emotion and also have the ability to move well.
Auditions are being held at The Lowry on Sat 5 September at 9am.
Those attending will be required to sing a song, read from a script and be able to move to music.
Children will be seen in the order they arrive and do not need to prepare anything in advance.
They must wear comfortable clothing and bring a passport-sized photograph.
All children must live within commutable distance of The Lowry.

The winning three girls will be required to rehearse for the part of Susan and perform during the run at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth and The Lowry between mid-October 2009 and Sat 9 January 2010.
The judges will be David Morgan, the show’s director and choreographer; Helen Rymer, assistant choreographer; a representative from the show’s music department and David Bell, children’s administrator,
