Following on from his innovative digital work Pattern Recognition, Alexander Whitley takes on the breathtaking scale of space for his company’s new multi-discipline dance, film and music work.

Working in partnership with scientists from STFC RAL Space, 8 Minutes draws inspiration from the images and data of solar science research to explore the spectacular forces at work in the universe and illuminate our relationship with the star that gives us life.

With a stunning installation of high-definition imagery from BAFTA award-winning visual artist Tal Rosner, and a specially created score by the electroacoustic music innovator Daniel Wohl, 8 Minutes will use dance, film and music to investigate a subject which can’t help but ignite the imagination.
