Graham Nash - An Intimate Evening of Songs and Stories

This show here at The Lowry will be Graham Nash's first In Salford since the early Hollies days.
  • Dates Running: 29/07/2018
  • Venue: The Lyric Theatre

Graham Nash was famously born in Blackpool in 1942, where his mother had been evacuated from Salford at the height of the 2nd World War. He grew up and went to school in Salford, and was soon signing with his class mate Alan Clarke in a variety of increasingly successful duos, including The 2 Teens and Ricky and Dane . The duo gradually grew through the early 60s, into The Hollies. Nash was the leader of the band, who, between 1963, to when he departed in late 1968, had 17 UK Top 20 singles. Their UK success was matched almost all over the world, including the USA, where they toured frequently.

On one of those tours Graham was introduced to Ex Byrd David Crosby and Ex Buffalo Springfield leader Stephen Stills. Soon after they began singing together and Nash realised his future lay in California and a group with Crosby and Stills. So Crosby, Stills and Nash were born.

In 2016 Graham released his 4th solo album in 45 years! This Path Tonight (Probably the 50th or more he has had his name on) A wonderful collection of songs that saw him touring again worldwide.

This show at The Lowry will be Graham Nash's first In Salford since the early Hollies days. Now an OBE and an Honorary Doctor of Music at Salford University, he is very much looking forward to it. He promises a Unique Evening for his Coming Home.
