'Natalie Inside Out' is a collaboration between world class handstand artist/handbalancer Natalie Reckert and digital artist Mark Moreau. The piece  reveals the inner workings of the circus performer’s body at a level of detail usually unseen by audiences.

The core of their work is shaped by turning conventional ideas of circus upside down and inside out, Natalie and Mark will use interactive digital technology to playfully investigate the ways in which digital media can interpret and represent the human body. For instance, cameras filming Natalie’s movements will present them as an animation onto a projected screen at the back of the stage.

Natalie Inside Out is part of The Lowry’s ‘Developed With’ series and will premiere at The Lowry on Fri 20 April before touring to Jackson’s Lane, London on Sun 22 April as part of CircusFest 2018. Natalie Reckert and Mark Morreau have been the recipient of a package of support to help them develop new shows. This work forms part of The Lowry’s artist development programme, a scheme supported by Arts Council England and The Eranda Rothschild Foundation. Natalie and Mark have been supported by Arts Council England, National Centre for Circus Arts Lab:time ² and Jacksons Lane, with additional support from Greentop Community Circus.
