The ruined aftermath of a bloody civil war. Ruthlessly fighting to survive, the Macbeths are thrust towards the crown by forces of elemental darkness. This new production propels Shakespeare’s classic tragedy into a post-apocalyptic world of anarchy and uncertainty.

Macbeth Student Conference | Friday 5 October, 1.30pm - 5.30pm 
An event for students featuring talks and on-stage masterclasses with key members of the company, creative team and academic speakers.  Sessions will include an exploration of Shakespeare’s original performance conditions and the process of bringing Rufus Norris’ production to the stage.

Macbeth CPD Workshop | Tuesday 25 September 2018, 4.30pm-6.30pm
Drawing on rehearsal room processes, this workshop will introduce practical strategies for exploring the play with your students. You will be given an insight into the director’s vision and interpretation of the play to find out how the production was staged. Exercises that have been used in previous Macbeth CPD workshops have included:  

• Shakespeare-specific warm ups 
• Exploring the world of the play  
• How to use iambic pentameter and punctuation
