Join Sole Rebel Tap for a fun introduction session in tap dance. A chance to learn new steps & sequences through creativity, playfulness & musicality of tap.
Join Sole Rebel Tap for the improvers session, suitable for tap-dancers with more experience. Those who want to refine & improve their skills, or wish to explore the new rhythms & techniques of rhythm tap.
Learn the very basic fundamentals of breakdancing. Go through basic top rocks, get downs, footworks and freezes. It will be fun, energetic and easy to learn!
Discover the rhythm of flamenco. You’ll be introduced to the Tangos style and the addition of palmas (clapping) building up to a routine with basic foot and body work. The workshop will be accompanied by live music.

In this session ZooNation's Carrie-Anne Ingrouille will look at working within a Hip Hop skill set for training purposes and how this can lead to the production of narrative work.
Improv is an event that blends live music and experimental dance together. With a range of tasks and challenges, we aim to make the art of improvisation just that little bit more interesting and unpredictable.
A Bollywood-style adaptation of of Jane Austen's classic novel, Pride and Prejudice that features the lives of four unmarried daughters in an Indian family.
In this taster class you'll learn everything you need to dance the night away. We'll teach you the basic steps of lindy hop as well as some seriously swinging moves!
You will be learning the basic steps of salsa, these steps will consist of the mambo, drop back, side step, cross over and the SusieQ. Then once you have mastered the steps you will put a basic routine together and dance to music in a line-up.

‘The Body Of Us’ returns to Dance: Sampled at The Lowry with moments you loved last time and new moments of meeting, sharing, creating and celebrating movement and dance. ‘The Body Of Us’ is a series of guided interactions animating The Lowry foyer spaces that places the audience at the heart of the dance.
12pm & 4pm: Circus Drop-In Sessions (Galleries)
by Gandini Juggling? Try your hand at some circus skills including juggling,
diablo, plate spinning with the experts from The Circus House.
1pm & 4pm: Bhangracize (Plaza outside The Lowry)
Join the dancers from Bhangracize as they show off their moves - you might even find yourself joining in!
10am-4pm: CAT Open Session (Galleries)
Take a look at the young dancers from our Centre for Advanced Training for Dance in action, as they respond to works with in our gallery exhibition 'humansbeingdigital'.
Post-matinee: Post-show Dance Panel (The Lyric Theatre)
