Newton-Le-Willows actor takes on eight roles in three plays at ROUNDABOUT.

Local actor Katherine Pearce will star in ROUNDABOUT pop up theatre when it comes to Ordsall Park from Thu 6 – Sun 9 September.  

Hailing from Newton-Le-Willows Katherine will plays eight characters across three new plays; ISLAND TOWN by Simon Longman, STICKS AND STONES by Vinay Patel, and HOW TO SPOT AN ALIEN by Georgia Christou.

The award-winning portable theatre ROUNDABOUT will showcase three world premiere plays in Ordsall Park from Thu 6 – Sun 9 September. ROUNDABOUT which last year popped up at Little Hulton Goes Large festival is presented by Paines Plough and Theatr Clwyd in association with The Lowry. 
 
A line up of Local community events sitting alongside ROUNDABOUT 2018 is yet to be announced. The pop up in Ordsall Park will feature three world premieres by Georgia Christou, Simon Longman And Vinay Patel in co-production with Theatr Clwyd.
 
The Lowry is working with a local community steering group in Ordsall – who will make decisions about the programme of community events included in the ROUNDABOUT line-up. Ordsall festival which usually takes place in July will move to Sun 9 September to coincide with ROUNDABOUT 2018.
 
Katherine will be accompanied on the ROUNDABOUT stage by the superb and shapeshifting actors Charlotte O’Leary and Jack Wilkinson.
 
Katherine Pearce trained at The Royal Welsh College. Her theatre credits include; THE LAST BALLAD OF LILLIAN BILLOCCA (Hull Truck), LOW LEVEL PANIC (Orange Tree Theatre), HUSBANDS AND SONS, PORT (National Theatre), HUSBANDS AND SONS, OUR PALS (Royal Exchange), EARLY DOORS (Not Too Tame), SECRET THEATRE: STAB IN THE DARK, CHAMBER PIECE, STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, WOYZECK (Lyric Hammersmith). Television credits include; GIRLFRIENDS, VERA (ITV), THREE GIRLS, YOUNG HYACINTH, OUR GIRL (BBC). Film credits include; MY COUSIN RACHEL (Fox Searchlight), ENGLAND IS MINE (Honlodge Productions), THE LAST PHOTOGRAPH (The Works International).
 
Roundabout will also host a programme of visiting companies, comedy, music and local community events.  All performances on the tour will have Closed Captioning available.
 
Paines Plough will reunite the creative team from Roundabout 2017 with Lighting Design by Peter Small, Sound Design by Dominic Kennedy and Movement Direction by Jennifer Jackson, this year joined by Movement Associate Simon Jones.
