These sessions will provide you with the opportunity to find out more about The Centre for Advanced Training in Dance in preparation for the auditions in June.

The free drop-in sessions include a technical and creative dance workshop lead by a professional CAT tutor, followed by the opportunity to observe the CAT students in class in order to gain a good understanding of what the programme has to offer.

The CAT is an intensive, part time, pre-vocational training programme for young people who aim to pursue a career in dance.

The CAT is looking for hard working young dancers aged 11-16 who are passionate and committed to a future as a dance professional to audition for the scheme for entry in September 2018.

The Lowry CAT is part of a national programme funded by the Department of Education through the recognised Music & Dance Scheme. Students wishing to audition for the CAT are advised to first attend a drop in session or Open Day. Please click here to view our Open Day dates.
