Making a Show: Week-Long Workshop

*This workshop is heavily subsidised to reduce the financial barrier to taking part. Two fully funded bursary places are also available for artists who would otherwise by unable to attend. 

What is it

A workshop week with Bryony Kimmings designed for those wanting to write about their own lives in a safe and supported way.  

The week follows chronological step by step pain free exercises exploring authentic voice, turning questions about the world into quests, form, concept and audience intentions. The week ends with a plan for the development of a show.

Who is it for 

Suitable for all creators, artists, circus performers, dancers, comedians, theatre makers, writers and actors.

About Bryony Kimmings

Bryony Kimmings is a playwright, performer, documentary maker and screen writer from the UK. She is inspired by female stories, social taboos and dismantling power structures. Kimmings’ work is brutally honest, very funny and often a bit geeky and activist. Bryony’s stage work includes her plays (as writer and performer): Sex Idiot, 7 Day Drunk, Credible Likeable Superstar Role Model, Fake it til’ you make it, I’m a Phoenix, Bitch and her current show Bog Witch. Her First TV Drama, the adaptation of Liz Jensen’s The Rapture is on currently on BBC One.
