Arnold & Komarov Travelling Theatre present LOVE**WORK

Arnold & Komarov Travelling Theatre's acclaimed international production LOVEWORK comes to Lowry, Salford for two performances on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 November 2026.

Exploring the complex relationship between love and work, LOVE**WORK is a thought-provoking and deeply human performance created from real stories and memories gathered across Switzerland, Pakistan, the Netherlands and England.

Created by Swiss theatre-makers Trixa Arnold and Ilja Komarov, the production brings together voices from different cultures, backgrounds and generations to examine two of the most fundamental aspects of human life: how we love and how we work.

Through a blend of testimony, music, performance and storytelling, LOVE**WORK uncovers the tensions, contradictions and connections between our personal and professional lives. Audiences are invited into a shared space for reflection, considering questions around care, ambition, purpose, identity and relationships.

The production marks a unique collaboration with a UK cast, creating an international performance rooted in community experiences and lived realities.

LOVE**WORK began as a multi-year research project, with stories collected through public events in Zurich before being expanded during artistic residencies at HOME Manchester and WORM Rotterdam. These anonymous experiences have been woven together to create what the company describes as a "biography of many", transforming individual memories into a collective theatrical experience.

Rather than offering straightforward answers, LOVE**WORK encourages audiences to imagine new possibilities for living, loving and working together.

Arnold & Komarov Travelling Theatre have been creating innovative music theatre projects since 2007. Known for their accessible and imaginative approach to socially relevant themes, their previous production, SHAME ON YOU!, was presented at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe as part of Pro Helvetia's Swiss Selection and toured internationally.
