Better Connected Arts Access Bursary

In partnership with GM Arts, Better Connected delivered two rounds of access bursaries, offering financial support to 14 artists.

Artists living, working or learning in Salford could apply for up to £500 to support their career development. This included workshops, training, networking, or access other professional development opportunities.

The aim of these bursaries were to reduce financial pressures so that creative practitioners can focus on expanding skills and networks, irrespective of personal or economic circumstances. The GM Arts Access Bursaries are designed to assist those who genuinely need financial support, to help reduce financial barriers to creative career development.
