Devising
This engaging devising workshop for Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 pupils supports them to collaboratively create original drama using voice, movement, and imagination, while developing confidence, communication skills, and an understanding of dramatic techniques.

Pupils taking part will be supported to:
- Develop and refine creative ideas through practical exploration. Pupils generate, ideas and original material using devising techniques such as improvisation, stimuli, and rehearsal strategies.
- Use voice, movement, and characterisation to communicate meaning. Pupils apply physical and vocal skills to convey intention, atmosphere, and narrative to an audience.
- Collaborate effectively as part of an ensemble. Pupils negotiate ideas, take creative risks, respond to others’ contributions, and take responsibility within group performance work.
- Understand and apply drama conventions and techniques. Experiment with form, structure, and style (e.g. symbolism, physical theatre, narration) to enhance performance impact.
- Reflect, evaluate, and respond thoughtfully to drama work. Pupils analyse their own and others’ performances using appropriate subject vocabulary, supporting critical thinking and artistic development.
