Verbatim Bootcamp by LUNG Theatre

Join award-winning theatre company LUNG (Resident Company at the National Theatre and Lowry Partner Company) for a practical workshop exploring different approaches to creating verbatim theatre and meaningfully bringing the words of real people to life onto the stage.
Led by Matt Woodhead (Co-Director, LUNG), this will be a hands-on introduction to verbatim theatre. Working with real testimony and interview transcripts, participants will explore how stories are edited, shaped, and brought to the stage, while considering the creative and ethical responsibilities of representing other people's voices.

For those new to and/or wanting to equip themselves in the fundamentals of working with verbatim text.

About Matt Woodhead
Matt trained on the National Theatre Studio Directors Course and as a Trainee Director at Leeds Playhouse. He is represented by Katie Battcock at Curits Brown.
